On Sunday, August 21, 2011 ARSEA Past President J.O. Conway and ARSEA Member Selena Daniel were inducted into the Senior Citizen’s Hall of Fame. With their membership, Conway and Daniel join an impressive list of Senior Citizen Hall of Fame honorees who have been recognized since the group was created by the Alabama Legislature in 1983. The stated purpose of the Hall of Fame is to bestow honor and recognition upon living Alabama residents who have made outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the lives of older Americans. To be eligible for permanent membership in the Alabama Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, a person must be 50 years of age or older and a current resident of the state.
